On February 12, 2022, the Institute of Management Technology, Hyderabad, organized its 5th edition of TEDx, an event that was much more than a collection of talks—it was a canopy of inspiration.

 

Under the theme 'VELARIUM,' which refers to the extended roof of a stadium, the event brought together a community under a protective shelter of ideas. The event's purpose was to shine a light on the questions that drive our very human existence and create a safe space for thoughts and experiences to converge, united by the shared goal of making the world a better place.

 

The stage was graced by a remarkable array of successful and esteemed personalities who each shared a piece of their extraordinary journey.

 We were moved by the resilience of para high jumper Sharad Kumar, enlightened by motivational speaker Vaibhav Pande, and inspired by the courage of Sahithi Mannar. The unwavering spirit of Rajeev Poddar reminded us that nothing is impossible, while classical musician Ninad Daithanakar and culinary visionary Anubhav Sapra celebrated the pursuit of excellence and the rich tapestry of our culture. The talks by entrepreneurs Sahil Pruthi and Sherlin Seth were a testament to the power of finding one's purpose and the unpredictable, yet rewarding, nature of a life lived without shortcuts.

 

As the event came to a close, the audience was left with an enthralling and thought-provoking experience. The ideas shared under the 'Velarium' will continue to protect and inspire, reminding us that with every challenge, there is an opportunity to learn, to grow, and to contribute to a better world.
