TEDxIMTHyderabad- Event Policy

Event Date: 24 January 2026

Venue: IMT Hyderabad

Event: TEDxIMTHyderabad (Independently Organized TEDx Event)

  1. Scope & Authority

TEDxIMTHyderabad is an independently organized TEDx event conducted by the TEDxIMTHyderabad Organizing Committee. IMT Hyderabad, as an institution, shall not be directly liable for the execution, conduct, or outcomes of the event.

The TEDxIMTHyderabad Organizing Committee holds the sole authority over:

  • Speaker selection

  • Sponsor approvals

  • Ticketing

  • Event programming

  • Entry permissions

  • Operational and logistical decisions

The Organizing Committee reserves the unrestricted right to accept, reject, modify, or withdraw any speaker, sponsor, ticket holder, or participant without assigning any reason.

   2. Official Communication & Confirmation

All official communication, confirmations, ticket validations, approvals, and participation status for TEDxIMTHyderabad shall be considered valid only when issued through the official TEDxIMTHyderabad email ID and/or a verified Razorpay payment confirmation email.

  • A Razorpay-generated payment confirmation email shall be the primary proof of successful ticket purchase and entry eligibility.

  • Without a valid Razorpay confirmation email, no ticket, seat, or participation shall be deemed confirmed, even if payment has been made through any other medium.

  • Screenshots, social media messages, WhatsApp texts, or verbal confirmations shall not be treated as valid proof of registration or entry.

The Organizing Committee shall not be responsible for disputes, losses, or denied entry arising from:

  • Payments made through unauthorized channels

  • Failure to receive or retain the Razorpay confirmation email

  • Reliance on unofficial communication

All attendees must retain their Razorpay confirmation email until the conclusion of the event on 24 January 2026.

    3. Accommodation & Transport

Any accommodation, local transport, or hospitality provided to speakers, sponsors, or guests shall be:

  • Subject to availability

  • Governed by event budgets and sponsorship agreements

  • At the sole discretion of the TEDxIMTHyderabad Organizing Committee

  • No individual shall be entitled to accommodation or transport unless it has been explicitly confirmed in writing via official email.

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to determine:

  • Whether such facilities are offered

  • The type, duration, and extent of support provided

 

    4. Code of Conduct

By attending TEDxIMTHyderabad, all participants agree to:

  • Respect the boundaries, dignity, and privacy of others

  • Avoid aggressively promoting personal products, services, or causes

  • Respect confidentiality requests made by speakers or attendees

  • Look out for fellow participants and contribute to a safe, inclusive environment

  • Engage in respectful, professional, and welcoming interactions

TEDxIMTHyderabad is committed to providing a space that is intellectually open, emotionally safe, and socially respectful.

    5. Prohibited Conduct

The following behavior shall not be tolerated at TEDxIMTHyderabad:

           i. Privacy Violations

  • Taking photos or videos of people without their consent

  • Requesting or forcing selfies with strangers

  • Capturing screenshots of private conversations

  • Sharing personal information without permission

           ii. Disruptive or Unsafe Behavior

  • Intoxication, substance abuse, or unruly conduct

  • Stalking, following, threatening, or intimidating any individual

  • Causing discomfort, fear, or disruption

  • Ignoring venue, health, or safety instructions

           iii. Discrimination & Abuse

  • Racism, homophobia, sexism, or discriminatory conduct

  • Abuse of power based on position, wealth, race, gender, or status

  • Hate speech or degrading remarks

          iv. Sexual Harassment

  • Unwelcome sexual attention

  • Inappropriate physical contact

  • Suggestive remarks, coercion, or misconduct.

    6.  Enforcement & Disciplinary Action

Any person found to be involved in prohibited or inappropriate conduct shall be dealt with entirely at the discretion of the TEDxIMTHyderabad Organizing Committee.

Actions may include:

  • Immediate removal from the venue

  • Cancellation of tickets or credentials

  • Permanent ban from future TEDxIMTHyderabad events

  • Reporting to institutional or legal authorities if necessary

The Organizing Committee’s decision in all such matters shall be final and binding.

    7. Right to Amend

The TEDxIMTHyderabad Organizing Committee reserves the right to:

  • Modify or update this policy

  • Change event schedules, speakers, or rules

  • Take any action necessary to maintain the safety, integrity, and spirit of the TEDx platform

All attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers are deemed to have accepted this policy upon registration, payment, or entry into the event.
